Setup and support
Mail Picker currently supports Gmail and Google Workspace accounts. Public listing is in progress.
- Install Mail Picker in a supported client when it is available to you, then connect with Google.
- On desktop, insert the Mail Picker tag and press Tab to search where supported. A sent tag plus search text alone is not an attached email.
- Select a search result, then send your request.
Touch-friendly picker and phones
Ask “Open Mail Picker.” In a client that supports interactive plugins, search, select up to five emails across accounts, and choose an action. Review your selection and instruction, then choose Send to chat. Only this final confirmation sends the exact references and instruction; the connected chat then retrieves those messages. Reply drafts appear in chat for review.
If no interactive view appears, ask “Open a Mail Picker browser link.” Open the private link within five minutes, search, select your emails, choose an action, and review. Choose Copy request and paste the complete request once into the connected chat where you opened Mail Picker. Copying is not confirmation of chat delivery. The browser session lasts one hour. The reference identifies a message; it does not grant another user access. Do not share the private sign-in link.
The native composer search field is desktop-only. Mobile and remote client support varies; the browser picker provides a fallback.
Voice-friendly responses
Enable Voice-friendly response for a brief conversational overview, numbered sources, and clearly stated dates. Full drafts and source links stay in chat. You can also ask: “Open Mail Picker to summarize emails with a voice-friendly response.” Mail Picker does not capture audio or start voice playback; app tools in Voice depend on your host client and have not yet been verified on an actual phone.
Add or switch Gmail accounts
Ask your client: “Open Mail Picker account settings.” Open the private link and choose Continue with Google. You can set the search default or use account:you@example.com subject:invoice.
Connection problems
If a connection expires, open account settings and select Reconnect. Google Workspace administrators may restrict app access. A Google account without Gmail cannot be used as a mailbox. While the OAuth app is in Testing, only approved test users can connect and Google limits renewable access.
